Update on Maryland Weekly - March 2, 2008

1) I am pleased to be hosting the next Carnival of Maryland here on March 9th. Please use the friendly widget to forward your posts. While this is a liberal blog on net, I specifically encourage conservative bloggers in Maryland - in or outside of the Maryland Bloggers Alliance - to forward your best recent work. Of course, I would be very grateful to receive submissions from explicitly non-political Maryland bloggers, i.e. from local bloggers who might actually have lives.

2) I am very, very close to having a confirmed date for the Take Back the Blog 2008 event. I do have confirmation from the awesome blogger who will support this effort on her site. Until she confirms, however, both her willingness AND her availability on a given date, I don't want to "out" her. But she is great. I will leave a small hint: many men other than her husband - and more than a few women - have expressed admiration for her notorious panties.

3) Crab's List is now doing something new. We are venturing out of the Chesapeake and Potomac region to give lawyers in New York a reason to check in. Crab's List is now running a New York jobs feed alongside the DC/Baltimore feed. The New York feed draws from the "Metro NY" feed and the "North Jersey" feeds from Craig's List, refined by topic/keyword so that we don't get a hundred secretary jobs (which are very much worth advertising, but not our market here.)
